#SpotlightSpecial Hip Hop w/ Chellie Fig, Choreographer + Former 76ers Dance & Captain (Virtual)

Join us virtually for this fun, upbeat Hip Hop class with one of our favorite Philly choreographers, Chellie Fig.

Bio: Michelle "Chellie Fig" Figueiredo graduated magna cum laude from Rider University with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience, B.A. in Dance Performance, and a certificate in leadership. Throughout college, she was a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and trained with American Repertory Ballet at the Princeton Ballet School. Michelle is a former four-year veteran and two-year captain of the NBA’s Sixers Dancers. While representing the Sixers Dancers, she has performed internationally across China on an NBA China Tour (4x). Michelle was also was selected to represent the Sixers Dancers on the NBA All Star Dance Team held in New Orleans, Louisiana (2014) and was invited back to perform at the NBA All Star Game in New York City (2015). She has also appeared on local television channels, radio stations, and performed back-up for various artists. During the pandemic, Michelle performed in her very first virtual performance with Artist House and danced in the "Bad Influence" music video for Swedish artist, Theo Allen. Most recently, she is the creator and director of Saint Mark's Dance Team, and on faculty with Impact Dance Adjudicators, ELEVATE Dance, and Koresh School of Dance. As a choreographer both domestically and internationally, she has worked with high-school, collegiate, and professional dance teams. Chellie has completed a teaching tour in Germany and had the opportunity to choreograph for Liberty Dance Team based in Stuttgart. Currently, she is a versatile, freelance dance artist based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania continuing to train and perform in many different styles.
